It's amazing that my first term as District Court Judge is drawing to a close and I want to thank you for the opportunity to have served you since January 2009. I am seeking re-election in 2012 for "one more time" as I will reach retirement age in 2016. In 2008, I stated that I would be fair and impartial, compassionate and knowledgeable; that I will execute justice for all and bring timely resolution to cases. I have executed the duties of my office with fairness and impartiality, with careful deliberation, and a sincere respect for the people who came into my courtroom. I have endeavored to honor these principles and will continue to practice them as I uphold and apply the rule of law. I was elected in 2008 receiving 62% of the vote, including Republicans, Democrats, Independents and others because they believed, as I do, that a judge should not be a political activist or policy maker but a judge for all the people.
